Tears
Music has always helped me cope
 Always gave me hope
Now I sit at my piano
 And cry
 Tears
 For the memories
 The good
 The bad
They both flood my eyes with tears

 We used to escape outside
 We were able to release
 What was on the inside
Now I sit on the front porch
 And cry
 Tears for the good times
 All your love
 All your smiles
They both flood my eyes with tears

 I still see you
 Right behind me
You beg me to come and play
But I politely say "Go away"
Why did I ever let you slip
Through the cracks of my life?
 Now I sit here
 And cry

 Tears of pain
 Tears of gladness
 Tears of love
 And tears of sadness
 Every tear I ever cry
 Are tears
 For you
