Jailbreak
25 to life, the judge chants
Maximum security, the press rants
He killed a child, I hear people say
I’m not going to let that be my legacy
There’s a jailbreak and they call the police
There’s a jailbreak and they are coming after me
It’s time, I need to let it go
I can’t win this battle, at least not alone
I need to get out and explain my tale
Everything’s one sided when you’re sitting in a cell
Nobody listened when I took the stand
I need to prove that I should be a free man
I escape to a place so safe and sound
The seasons turn ten years round
We are hiding out
I think I’m done
I call the press and say here’s a story you’ll want to run
There was a jailbreak and they called the police
There was a jailbreak and they were coming after me
It’s time, I need to let go
I can’t win this battle, at least not alone
