Star-Crossed Sky
I try to stand
But I always fall
So I sit and wait
And watch and call
People pass
But no one hears
And the seasons tell
Of the passing years
Chorus:
Don't pass me by,
Butterfly
No more sweet goodbyes
Or nights to cry
Lost in lies
Too frail to fly
Lonely tears
In a maze of mirrors
That bring old fears
To now and here
I wait
Trapped beneath the star-crossed sky
The sun will rise,
The sun will fall
But we won't notice
This at all
We climb and climb
And run and run
When we reach the top
We find the game is done
Chorus
Bridge:
With wings so frail
A world so wide
You stay strong
Never run and hide
After the rains
You come back outside
You have no choice
But you make it
To the other side
To the other side
Chorus
