Enough
Days go by, I'm asked to change
to be different, to rearrange.
The quirks and feelings that you see
are only things that make me, me.
Laughs, likes, styles and hates
this is the me that I create.
The world wishes to tear away
everything that makes me the way...
Look deep inside and know
that I am something different.
Look deep inside and see
that all I am is me.
Isn't that enough?
Days go by and I'm asked to be
someone else, who is not me.
Piece by piece, they tear apart
who I really am at heart.
I pray someone, eventually
will appreciate me, for me.
To see the things that make me up
see that who I am is quite enough.
The world is a dangerous place
for people with different ways
of doing, saying, thinking, being.
All they can do is keep breathing.
All I can do is be me.
Look deep inside and know
that I am something different.
Look deep inside and see
that all I am is me.
Isn't that enough?
Isn't that enough?
