Real Me
Hopelessly lost
In someone I'm not.
Changing and shifting
For others. I'm caught
In this body
that is not my own.
New people, new me,
Until cover is blown.
I want to be Real
I want to be Me.
I want acceptance
and to be cherished.
I want to be loved
by others, but not
when this body
is so far from my thought.
I want to be loved but
not for who I am not.
I want to be Real
I want to be me.
I am most beautiful
when I am just me.
I want to be loved
only for me.
I don't want love
for someone I'm not.
I'll be who I am
who I was truly was wrought.
I will be Real
I will be me.
I will be who He made me to be.
