You tell me how I am,
While I think how I should be.
My flaws reflect onto your skin,
You stare them right back into me.
And I wish you would show what I’m like
Without your snap judgement.

You’re the epitome of honesty
But you lie when it comes
To conscience
Without me you’re nothing,
You’re a critic and a skeptic
And the truth is all I ask for.

What a pity, you’re so pretty,
just a piece of glass.
Authority is as transparent
as your polished mask.
All it takes is steady hand, a stone, and certain aim,
This mirror is going to wish that it never played these games.

You’re the epitome of honesty
But you lie when it comes
To conscience
Without me you’re nothing,
You’re a critic and a skeptic
And the truth is all I ask for.

This is good! a great concept! My fave part is "this mirror is going to wish that it never played these games!" that was really awesome!

Great rhythm and a marvelously written poem. Well done!
