Make Her Eyes Shine On
A bullet on my head got me on my knees, as i gasped for breath, I said, with my eyes shut.
"take me into your arms"
Her wings vanished and brought me life.
Her lips gave me second thoughts.
Her eyes, green as amber, bright as a corner light.
Her eyes, became my guide, my wrong doings also my rights.
Her beat steady as she hugged me.
"You won't suffer, she implored, no longer will you scream at night"
She whimpered, my eyes dark and dull.
The solemn shadows were broken by her halo, broken my silence, lighten the darkness.
Her wings are gone but back is my life.
Her smile is gone but back is mine.
Her steady heartbeat has stopped, her lips are stale, still, I'll make her eyes shine on.
