People
Passing
Going
Nowhere

Faces blending into one
Well I miss you
So I keep traveling on
But no place replaces you

My feet are beginning to hurt
From wandering lonely in the street
Barely surviving these storms
Like this hurricane

Like a flash of lightning
Or the blink of an eye
You’re gone forever
No goodbye
The world keeps moving on
As I’m standing here
Left with a heart
In sinking sand

What am I left with now
All I have is memories of you
Going places
Darkened spaces like the moon

Sleepless nights and pointless days
My mind is full of things
Where did it all go?
All our hopeful dreams

Like a flash of lightning
Or the blink of an eye
You’re gone forever
No goodbye
The world keeps moving
As I’m standing here
Left with a heart
In sinking sand

Tears are falling from the sky
And I keep asking myself why
Why did you have to go so soon?
Why not me instead of you?
What do I do now?
What do I do?
My head is spinning out of control
I need some answers
Why are you gone?

Like a flash of lightning
Or the blink of an eye
You’re gone forever
No goodbye
The world keeps moving
As I’m standing here
Left with a heart
In sinking sand

Like a flash of lightning
Or the blink of an eye
You’re gone forever
No goodbye
The world keeps moving
As I’m standing here
Left with a heart
In sinking sand

People
Passing
Going
Nowhere
