How You Make Me Feel
I feel average, I feel normal, I feel similar to the rest,
But I'm not average to you, to you I'm the best,
I feel smart and I feel good, whenever your presence is near,
But as soon as you leave me, my confidence would dissappear.
You make me feel bright and like there's nothing I can't do,
If only I returned the deed and made you feel good too,
You made me happy and made me smile,
You always would complimant my style,
But never did I think to say kind words to you,
You never asked for praise, but I know I was supposed to.
I'm sorry I didn't make you feel like the star that you are,
I'm sorry I didn't make you feel like my love was never far,
But thank you, yes, thank you for doing everything you could,
Thank you for always knowing how to make me feel good.
I want to tell you and I really want to say,
Your presence is such a gift, I never meant to make it go away.
