"The only true love I ever knew
Was behind those downcast eyes
The only comfort I ever felt
Was during those long hours of loneliness
When I felt for you
I do believe
Only innocence can save the world..." -Ocean Soul

You don’t know how much a person means
When they are all that you have to love
You learn to cherish all the little things
That come from a mother’s love

Through all the times you want to cry
She will always wipe your tears
When everyone’s walked away
She’ll be there to hug you tight

When crisis comes at you from all sides
She will be the one to save your life
And when she says goodnight
It’ll be sweet dreams from here on in

The rose that let my name bloom
A beautiful angel that watches over me

When the time comes she says goodbye
All the tears will start to flow
There’s no pain to feel like that before
To see her cry such sorrow
It breaks my heart to see her cry
I'll take the tears and paint her a smile
Like she's done for me so many times before

The rose that let my name bloom
A beautiful angel that watches over me

This is a poem for my mother, who means more to me than anyone else in this world...if it weren't for her, I wouldn't be here. She's fought for my younger brother and I since we were young, and I'd go to any length
