"My mom always told me the key to life was happiness. At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. My teacher told me I didn't understand the assignment, I told him he didn't understand life." -John Lennon

I've been here so Long, I should just go face my fears
But everything feels so wrong And I can't stop the tears
When everyone is calling out for help And I feel so useless
I'm Like a dog I start to yelp at my own excuses

There's so much evil in too much variety
Good people lying and children getting shot
All these goddamn menaces to society
They just ignore those injured soldiers dying on their cots

I see so many innocent faces full of so much pain
All made up of different races with so much to gain
Can't we put our differences aside and listen when the kids say "stop it"?
No, we're too full of pride and just don't know when to drop it

We all complain about how much we've lost
Don't anyone pay attention to what we've got?
The big kids all talking about how much it cost
Then why can't we go from fighting to fought?

Someone tell me why we all have to deny
Just cut out the lies and quit being sly
Let's start being honest and mean what we say
Just give it a rest maybe starting today?

Never saying I'm not the same
But I'm wondering why can't we change?
Let's stay brave lions but tame
Then we don't have to be so strange
I think it's better to give love then not

I apologize for the negativity of this piece because there are some good things in today's Society. I've just noticed all these other terrible things happening around us and sometimes I feel as though they are becoming greater than the positive things.
