Mr. Hurricane
I’ve got four corners and a roof
The fact that I’m sturdy makes up
For my lack of room
My door is locked most of the time
My window’s open, but it’s one
Hell of a climb
I built me with my bare hands
I used the pieces broken off from my heart
Paper and glue, now I stand
I won’t let you, Mr. Hurricane
Tear me apart
Secrets line my walls
In the cracks of the floorboards
And the corners of the halls
This house cries at night, a thunderstorm of feelings
Buckets dot the floor,
Catching teardrops from the ceiling
I built me with my bare hands
I used the pieces broken off from my heart
Paper and glue, now I stand
I won’t let you, Mr. Hurricane
Tear me apart
My roof has leaks
And the floorboards creak
But bring on your storm
I'll stay safe and warm
Rain on my roof
Open up your skies
Flip me upside down
I won’t bat an eye
Can’t you see, Mr. Love
Mr. Perfect and Pride
You can knock all you want
I won’t let you inside
