"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world."

I know I’m not perfect,
No where near good enough,
But when you point this out to me,
I just can’t believe

In the house of God
How could you be so cruel?
How could you hurt others
Who’ve done no wrong to you?
When God says to love them
With all that you have.
You don’t know what they’ve been through.
You don’t know where they’ve been.

I can dye my hair purple
Pink, blue, and green.
I love God no less,
Because He still loves me.
I know I make mistakes,
I’m a sinner, not a saint,
But God still loves me,
‘Cause I’m His child always.

In the house of God
How could you be so cruel?
How could you hurt others
Who’ve done no wrong to you?
When God says to love them
With all that you have.
You don’t know what they’ve been through.
You don’t know where they’ve been.

I could tell you your faults too,
I could show them all to you.
None of us are perfect,
But Jesus paid our debt.
I can wear short skirts,
Or jeans to church,
And not care what you think,
‘Cause God still loves me.

In the house of God
How could you be so cruel?
How could you hurt others
Who’ve done no wrong to you?
When God says to love them
With all that you have.
You don’t know what they’ve been through.
You don’t know where they’ve been.

The author's comments:
This is a song I wrote because of something that occurred at our church when I member who hadn't been coming for a long time returned. She had a pink streak in her hair, and someone came up to her and said "This is a conservative church, we don't come with our hair like that." So, this is my opinion on the matter.
