Whenever I look at the stars
I remember those nights we spent together
The way your arms were wrapped around me
Still gives me the shivers
And those memories make me smile
I’m trying so hard to forget
But I won’t ever forget those nights
Because those nights were my first

My first kiss
My first midnight walk under the stars
The reason that I smile
The first time I let myself go
The first time I broke all the rules
The time I opened myself to you
The reason I was so scared
The first time I waited for you to come
All the butterflies built up inside
I couldn’t handle it back then
And I can’t handle it now
I miss you

I never want to forget those nights
Those nights I put my trust in you
I let you teach me for the night
That cool summer night
And now that you’re gone
With no communication
All I can think about is you
And those nights we spent together
Because those nights were my first

My first kiss
My first midnight walk under the stars
The reason that I smile
The first time I let myself go
The first time I broke all the rules
The time I opened myself to you
The reason I was so scared
The first time I waited for you to come
All the butterflies built up inside
I couldn’t handle it back then
And I can’t handle it now
I miss you

And now whenever I look up at night
And see the stars so bright
I think of you
I think of you
Everything reminds me of you
Of everything we’ve been through
And all the times we’ve talked
Now that’s all I want from you
I miss you
Because those nights were my first

My first kiss
My first midnight walk under the stars
The reason that I smile
The first time I let myself go
The first time I broke all the rules
The time I opened myself to you
The reason I was so scared
The first time I waited for you to come
All the butterflies built up inside
I couldn’t handle it back then
And I can’t handle it now
I miss you
