I Wanna Be A Soldier
First time I fired a gun
I was three years old
Playin' soldiers with the boy next door
I asked him "Whatcha wanna be
when you grow up?"
He looked at me and said...
(Chorus: I wanna be a soldier
I wanna fight in wars
Protect America and all she stands for
I wanna keep her safe where she belongs
Oh...I wanna be a soldier)
Next time I fired a gun was in a story about
Defending the red white and blue
Mama looked me in the eye that day
And asked "Sweetie, whatcha wanna be?"
I looked up and said clearly
(Chorus)
Now I'm thirteen and planning out my fate
Defending America no matter what it takes
I'd lay down my life for the old red white and blue
And I know someday my plans will come true
(Chorus)
