I work so damn hard in school,
but my teachers think I'm an ordenary fool.
What do I need to do in order to reach the top?
Certainly not smoke weed and take crack.
My hard work is more than your maximum effort,
but to them my home work is nothing of worth.
Seventy to ninety five is the best they can do.
But my best is staying up working in the morning at two.
So much dreams I have and people I wanna help,
but reaching there will take a lot more than hard work and good health.
I always admired and dreamt of being and independent woman.
My faith is strong, stronger than a true works man.
My success will be better lives for the hungry, sick and poor.
I am willing to work hard so that sick mothers in poverty don't have to work as whores.
But how do I reach there with seventy and ninety five in school?
What help is it to me if my teachers judge me like a fool?
