"I'll never know myself like my scribbles seem to know me" - Hayley Reardon.

I can almost feel the sand between my toes

from that trip to the beach two summers ago

I didn’t think it’d end that quickly

Never dreamed that you would forget me

but you did,

you did.

I hope you’re fine, hope you’re doing well

But I’m still going through the same old he**

Hope you met a girl and she makes you happy

Rocks your world, hope you love her like you loved me

But boy, I’m slowly learnin’

Even with you gone, my world’s still turnin’

I can still feel your heart beat

your hand in mine, tangled in sheets

I guess you don’t even remember

That night we shared in late September

but I do,

I do.

I hope you’re fine, hope you’re doing well

But I’m still going through the same old he**

Hope you met a girl and she makes you happy

Rocks your world, hope you love her like you loved me

But boy, I’m slowly learnin’

Even with you gone, my world’s still turnin’

My world’s still a little upside down

but give me time, I’ll come around

I didn’t know if we’d last long

Didn’t know all I’d be left with

was a song,

this song

I hope you’re fine, hope you’re doing well

But I’m still going through the same old he**

Hope you met a girl and she makes you happy

Rocks your world, hope you love her like you loved me

But boy, I’m slowly learnin’

Even with you gone, my world’s still turnin’

I got home from the beach one day, and I could still feel the sand in between my toes. Simple as that, and a song was born. that's the way it works for me. I don't actually have a relationship this relates to, it's just thoughts formed as lyrics.
