Under the Sea

When it gets hard to live
in this reality
I close my eyes
then I'm underneath the sea
Not far from shore
coral reefs of pink and orange
no one here but me
so much better than life out there
Sea horse brushes my hand
hold so very still
I won't upset
the paradise in front of me
Dead silent
I dare not make a sound
if I spoke
I'd awake, back up there
To the city
cars and smoke and noise
I'd stay here forever
if I had the choice
Life is always hard to live
in our reality
just close your eyes
and drift beneath the sea
