lonely soul
Places and rivers pass you by
As you make your way through the night
It’s a stone cold night
The waters on the rise
Your feet are getting heavy
And you can’t sustain your life
People and cars pass you by
As you try so hard, to see through the night
It’s a broken road
You’re about to go through
You’re a lonely soul
With no memory or view
Without hope
Without love
The toughest part was waking up
Without someone to carry the load
You walk around cause you’re a lonely soul.
Wondering around
The sidewalks to crowded now
Walking without a sound
As you make your way through the crowd
You’re raising the bar
But it’s still too low
You run around cause you’re a lonely soul
You run around cause you’re a lonely soul
With nowhere to go..
Desperate times call for desperate measures
But you’re on your way
The road is long ahead
But you’ll make it someday
Keep your faith that you follow
Cause you’ll make it someday
But for now
You walk around, cause you’re a lonely soul.
With no where, no where to go.
You’re a lonely soul
