Bleeding Years
Another year has come and gone
Before you know it, I won't be here
I realize I'm young, but yet
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
I don't want to grow up and then
Come face to face with all my fears
Because when childhood is gone
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
Admittedly it has been fun
Maturing alongside my peers
But soon enough I'll be a man
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
My family and I discuss
My future plans, hopes, and careers
No more time for fun and games
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
As I look back on the joys of youth
And childish whims that I hold dear
I fell off my bike and skinned my knee
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
If only I could delay time
Hold back the hands, or maybe clog the gears
Despite my toils, the seconds tick
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
My only choice is to embrace the time
I have, and somehow hold back the tears
No looking back, just forward now
I'm bleeding years, I'm bleeding years
