"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on."

-Robert Frost

In a dimly lit room,
With the only light coming from,
The stream of sunshine,
that would pour through the window.
You'd be holding me,
both of us, laying in my bed.
Our legs twisted,
Our fingers intertwined.
Slow rhythms from the guitar
Across the room would fill the empty silence.
I'll lay my head on your chest,
And listen to your heartbeat.
Every thump of yours,
syncs with my own.
I'd glance to look up at you,
and I'd blush because this feeling is overwhelming.
I'd watch as you took silent breaths,
And admire your freckles,
And how perfectly your lips would be
Pressed against my own.
I'd watch your eyes flutter,
And admire your perfection with every blink.
I'd run my fingers through your hair
Pushing it up and around.
You'd watch me as I make
gentle movements.
I'd smile softly and sigh,
I'd take a deep breathe,
And realize the pure bliss of the moment.
You'd be my drug,
and I'd be addicted to you.
Addicted to your smell.
Your touch.
Your presence.
With every inhale
I wish we wouldn't have to move,
That we could lay here,
forever.
Just holding each other close,
Watching the fan spin
round
and
round.
Slowly falling asleep.
And with every exhale,
I'd remember
That you're mine
and
That somehow I was lucky enough
To be here with you
And how there isn't
any other place
I'd rather be
Than right here
By your side.

I wrote this about my boyfriend earlier this summer.
He plays the guitar really well so I think I'll have him help me write a guitar part to it and one day make it into a song.
