"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on."

-Robert Frost

If only we were older
Made our own decisions
Lived on our own
Could do what ever we wanted

But who wants to give up adolescence?
No worries
No real responsibilities
That new, young, teenage love that many take fro granted.

"I love him"
"I love her"
We say it, we mean it too
"You cannot love, you're still so young"
We hear it all the time,
from parents, teachers, all adults alike.

But they don't know
They don't know about the hours long conversations
Telling each other our true feelings
Maybe they're just jealous
They yearn for the love, the young true love they had at our age.

The high school sweetheart
The summer romance
That love sick feeling you get when they're away
or getting love drunk from something as simple as
a wink
a smile
a kiss

The author's comments:
I'm getting really tired of people saying I can't love my boyfriend because we're only 16.
How do they know I'm not in love?
Hell, I might even be more in love with my boyfriend then most women are with their husbands.
