You tried to steal my heart.
You told me you loved me.
I replied back “What is love to you?”
You said “You are love to me.”
I thought it was sweet.
You through that poisoned dart.
And you said it’s always about me.
You tried to explain that we were through.
And it stung as though it was a bee.
Our love was a once in a life time treat.
I guess I didn’t fill the part.
Our relationship had a fee.
Nothing you said was ever true.
To my heart, I gave the key.
But you said there was no heat.
