The Dream's Edge
You've mastered façade
 Deception's in your palm
 You can't take the truth
You must have something to lose

A stage that you can never leave
You can't do as you please
 You're stuck forever inside yourself
 Until you let somebody help

Your whole life's been a play
 One you're dying to escape
Every time you take a deep breath
You panic at the dream's edge
Would it kill you to tell a fact?
You seem certain it'll do just that
Take a bow and remove your mask
And stop dazedly playing your part

On the outside you're so very blind
On the inside you're so far from fine
Can't you see that there are no winners
In this game of dice and spinners?

A job from which you can't resign
You're on the other side of the line
In limbo between fiction and reality
Just where no one can ever see

Your whole life's been a play
 One you're dying to escape
Every time you take a deep breath
You panic at the dream's edge
Would it kill you to tell a fact?
You seem certain it'll do just that
Take a bow and remove your mask
And stop dazedly playing your part
