I Just Can't Be Perfect
I try so hard to keep it in
And match my smile to the one they wear
I take my time to get it right
The look that says I don't have a care.
but if you looked inside behind the scenes,
Back at my heart, you would see me
I just can't be perfect
I'm not sure its worth it
To be afraid constantly
And hide what makes me me
I just wanna be loved for who I am
Plastic smile painted on my face
The one that tells the world i'm fine
Is suddenly slipping away
And leaving me exposed beneath
And now i know what I have known before
I don't have to do this anymore
I just can't be perfect
I'm not sure its worth it
to be afraid constantly
And hide what makes me me
I just wanna be loved for who I am
I don't have to hide my imperfections and my scars
You think they're beautiful for what they are
The proof I need you in my heart
I just can't be perfect
But to You, I am worth it
And now i'm not afraid to be
Everything that makes me me
Because You love me for who I am
