Time goes

The clock is closing down,
everybody smiling and laughing,
no signs of tears or frowns
as “tick tock” the time goes

Security is high in the city of dreams,
barricades are held at every corner,
but cannot withstand the screams
as “tick tock” the time goes

The moment is finally here,
one year ends and another begins,
a chance for a new start
as “tick tock” the time goes.
