"The wise man is the man who knows he doesn't know everything"

My heart is full of sorrow as
I ride through battle ridden plains
thought I was gonna feel me some glory
but all I got was pain
and I watched my brothers fall
one by one
uniforms the color of dry blood
final resting place
beneath the rising sun
the things i've seen today the
things i'll see tomorrow
will never leave my head
and my heart forever filled
with sorrow
Oh glory glory be
be the home of the
brave
the lives we've changed
oh glory goes by many names
and the children who signed up
thinking life was just another game
the men on the battlefield
so tore up they can't be fixed again
and the widows all alone, orphans with no home
Oh yes glory glory be
glory be the home of the brave

I watched an old movie called tom dooley and it made me write this. I published this same poem on an anthology but I changed some of the words on this one to make it sound better.
