It's Easier This Way
It’s falling in the darkest ocean.
It’s drowning in the deepest sea.
It’s never being good enough.
It’s needing someone here for me.
It’s letting them win;
It’s falling apart.
It’s giving in;
It’s breaking your heart.
It’s the never-ending sadness.
It’s the ever-present despair.
It’s always feeling so alone.
It’s feeling like no one’s there.
It’s letting them win;
It’s falling apart.
It’s giving in;
It’s breaking your heart.
It’s crying yourself to sleep.
It’s lying that you’re “okay.”
It’s being surrounded by darkness.
It’s wanting to fade away.
Because it’s easier to let them win;
It’s easier to lose.
It’s easier to act like you’re still together;
It’s easier, you’ll choose.
It’s easier to give up now;
It’s easier not to try.
Because in the end, they’ll break your heart;
It’s easier to cry.
