Paper
All my life I’ve only known
Crumpled paper balls
Rumpled frumpled paper notes
Torn off of the walls
Paper people, paper places
Handwritten, blue and black
Paper dreams fall one by one
There’s something that he all lack
And shoved into their paper bins
Into the dark they go
Amidst pink wads of chewing gum
My paper ponders grow
But perhaps like papers from the past
The paper then unfurled
A peep of possibility
That may just change the world
