The Excitement in New Life
The bloom of the tulip
Its bright color ready to show
Waiting to sprout up
Its stem ready to grow
The anxious mother duck
Sitting on her eggs
Awaiting the day they’ll be able to cluck
Wobbling around on those tiny little legs
The mama lion relaxing on a rock
Preparing for the birth of her new babies
Ready to stand up and ready to block
Fulfilling her motherly duties
And the father as he watches over his new little fish
As they hatch and begin their new life
They explore the water going swish, swish
Not knowing they’ll face much wildlife
