Rekindling Childhood Memories
When in the quiet of my thoughts I tread, To days of yore, where innocence did play, A time of youth, where dreams in sunlight spread, And every moment held a bright array.
The distant laughter of my friends I hear, In fields of gold, where we would run so free, Those fleeting days, to my heart still so near, Yet lost in time's unyielding, vast decree.
But as I ponder on the present day, Those memories, they light my path and guide, For in my heart, they never fade away, The joys of youth, forever to reside.
Though years have passed and life has moved along, The echoes of my childhood still are strong.
