The Thirst
The bright sun shone down on the flowers that day.
It made them sweat like slaves in a field of weeds.
To the flowers the sun felt like a giant pool of lava sitting by the bay.
Every inch and piece of Mother Nature wished their owner would come out and do good deeds.
Finally the owner came out with an old pail.
The garden drank up half the world’s water in one sip.
There was not anything left, even for a lovely little snail.
The snail looked at the daisy with dismay and gave it one big nip.
The garden reminds the bird of a glimmering pool of life.
The turtle thinks of it as a place to rest.
The hunter thinks of it as a place to leave a knife.
Last but not least the chicks think it’s their nest!
A garden is full of adventure with flowers as your friends.
Think of them standing right beside you, helping you and holding your hand.
Take your first step and you will see your fun may never end.
Just a tip, you’ll know where a garden is, when you hear a glorious band.
