Darkness

The darkness that consumes me all around
Engulfing, overwhelming, it will not end
The total abyss forever surronds
My life will never be the same again
Waiting and waiting for the light to rise
Searching and searching, for at last i see
Out beyond the darkness the night will die
And i fear that i will never be me.
But while i sit still searching for the light
My fears of dieing is all but behind
For I know that i will fight this fight
And i now know this is all in my mind
The darkness that once consumed me is gone
I know now i will not have to wait long.
