Alarm Clock

Alarm clock sounds, on my face is a frown
As I’m forced to approach another day.
I ask, “What can turn this frown up-side down
And make me happy to live, work, and play?”
I turn aside, out the window I look,
I refuse to continue looking in.
I watch a small girl, whose playtime they took
And see a bully with his evil grin.
But out, nearby, comes a Savior indeed
Whose presence pushes the bully to go
He raised her up, on arms that she did need,
He took her in, oh how He loved her so!

Though tough times come, I’m loved and protected,

For He is there; my life He’s affected.

This sonnet was born out of the sheer frustration it is to simply wake up every morning. I hope those that read it will relate it to their own lives and the "bully" they face, whatever it be. I hope they learn to see, as I am learning, that Jesus can truly get rid of that bully and help us up, in a way we couldn't even understand. He loves us so much. Learning how to trust the Savior with our bullies would make life so much simpler.:)
