Oh Romeo, each time I look upon thee

I witness Cupid’s arrow in action

With your valiance and chivalry

You give my heart divine satisfaction

You’re a blissful dream as I lie in bed

I beseech never to be awoken

For surely if I do I will be dead

Gone, and forevermore unspoken

Like the sun on a summer’s day you shine

You’re the halcyon moon in the night

My deepest desire is you being mine

And for you to remain always in sight

Darling, ‘til tomorrow for I must depart

Remember you will remain in my heart

The author's comments:
An assignment was given by my English teacher as we read Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. We had to write a sonnet from one of the lovers to the other. I tried my best and I hope you enjoy it. Writing sonnets isn't easy XD

Sonnets are hard to write!  You did a really nice job; great vocabulary, especially for a sonnet.
