Extraordinary and of interest in said
An arrangement of furniture
Left you stranded on your bed

The bed seems quite poor
They left you all alone
And the people you waited for
Refuses to phone

You can’t feign the impression
For it’s positively authentic
But his tranquil body language
Speaks it was easily connected

He doesn’t say much
An occasional frustration or two
For although he’s a beam of light
He is just as difficult to break through

Still, he leaps high
At the reference to a case
An opportunity to shine
A game for him to face

A chance to live
Outside his bedroom door
A moment of excitement
An adventure worth waiting for

Though, underneath his skill
Behind the deserted brush
Therein lies an empty man
The man who lies in hush

Upon seeing my broken hero
I lay aside as bait
For I know his light would come back once more
Maybe…possibly…wait

His care is once more torn
As he injects himself with what’s left behind
I just have to say, Mister Right
You lived your life as I will live mine
