The Wind
I stand outside with the wind and the breeze
Tossing my hair as
The wind blows and tilts trees,
While the grass waves at me.
If only I could be swept away
By the wind and be allowed to fly
To new and unknown lands faraway,
As if I had wings and nothing stopping me.
If only I could soar with the wind and flee
Like an eagle, wild and untamed,
I would then be free
From the walls surrounding me like a cage.
If only I was as free as the wind,
I would then spread my wings and finally fly.
