I Saw You In A Dream...
I woke up with a dreadful scream
Because I saw you in a dream
Your eyes were staring into mine
And somehow, I still felt so fine

 I can't explain just how I feel
Because it all just seemed so real
I seeked an inch, I got a mile
And still got chills when I saw you smile

 I don't know if I'll understand
Why I laughed when you took my hand
And said, "I don't know what to do."
You shrugged and said, "I still love you."

 I know there's nothing I can do
Because I'll never get to you
So I woke up with a dreadful scream
to save my heart from that dream

I still can see it in my head
Before I slumber in my bed
The way you looked, the way you laughed
 Playing slowly, like a photograph

And sometimes, I wish I were back
To catch a glimpse of what I lack
I wonder if you think of me
And what I know we'll never be

My heart was broken, kicked and shoved
I think that's why they call it love
I woke up with a dreadful scream
Because I saw you in a dream...
