My love is not to man but to my hair
I love to keep hair as long as could be
My hair is not like Snow White, oh so fair
Hair not to be tamed, not even to me
Spin and spin my body goes, lots of twirls
The hair full of curls and a bunch of swirls
I know this hair not be the very best
It goes around and around like a nest
Still i spin, feet now twist as i stumble
There i sit on a seat, oh very old
So messy my hair be a large jungle
Adults surround me and there i am told
That this is not meant to keep
And the hair falls slowly as i weep

The author's comments:
I had to do a poetry project in class so I here's my sonnet. This was based on an experience I had recently. My hair was so long and hard to keep that my mother told me to cut it. I didn't really mind, but when I cut my hair I felt really sad.
