Jumping Over The Edge
She sits on the ledge,
Kicking her legs,
Looking down below her.
She watches as a single tear falls.
Thinking about doing something
Because she’s not loved at all.
She stands up,
Taking one deep breath.
One thing comes to her mind.
That one thing is death.
She picks up a rock.
And drops it over the ledge.
Falling faster and faster,
Going over the edge.
Minutes pass,
Before the sound of water.
If she jumps,
No one would be bothered.
She backs up,
Thinking twice.
But if she gave up her life,
It would be nice.
She runs forward,
Not knowing what to do.
She can feel the wind,
Now she knows the truth.
The truth is now,
Full of regret.
With her death,
No one will forget.
