You only wanted to see me in pain
Filled my head with lying promises
I was addicted to your whisper games
Black fire blinds me when I reminisce

Put a gun up to my head and fire
I already killed fear with your thieved bullets
I know it’s pseudo love because you’re a liar
I was fooled by you to play Russian roulette

I can be beat and dragged and spit on
Make me bleed with my head or heart
But falling is not an option
I will not weep but bandage my wounds as if art

I only blame myself for following your way
Forgiven now, always tomorrow and today

The author's comments:
I wrote this for an English assignment and I liked it a lot so I am sharing it with the world now. It is about how when we as humans with sinful nature follow the ways of the devil but with the strength of God, we will not fall, but stand. As well, when we come out of trouble he will forgive us. I also got inspiration from the poem "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley
