Before and After
Before you came into my life
I was just a normal girl
But longing for a purpose cut inside me like a knife
But after you came, my heart began to whirl
I tried to pretend that it didn't exist;
This feeling that I've never felt before,
It made my heart twist
Until I didn't know myself anymore
Finally I took it head on,
And hoped you felt the same
How could I know how I was terribly wrong
As I wilted in shame
Before you came, I had nothing to think of
After you came, I learned what it is to love
