A Lullaby Without Words
Alas, the bell has rung! It’s time to fight./
The boxers stood up now with their gloves taped,/
preparing for the fight with all their might./
There was no love. There only was pure hate//
between these giants. “This is for the belt./
I want a clean fight,” said the referee./
Then, the two beasts of men felt/
their fists clenching and clashing together in a frenzy.//
The crowd was roaring loudly as they flew/
out of their corners, and immediately flung/
a flurry of fists at each other. At this pace, the fight would end before round two./
The champ was badly cut as he was stung//
by an uppercut from the challenger. His title belt he would not keep./

Because the next punch put him fast asleep.//
