The Fruitful Garden
Like gardens, life will grow in sprouting buds.
The roots reach deep below the ground and house
Small beetle bugs that feed the churning muds.
Those roots invade the soil which raindrops douse.

They stretch their leafy hands to catch the rain
That gathers, catching sunlight on the leaves.

With strengthened roots that grip the dirt with strain,

Their tie dyed petals flutter in the breeze.

But weeds assail throughout the silent night,
Uprooting vibrant hopes that bloomed one day.
When flowers can’t withstand the wind’s harsh flight,
Bent down and crushed their broken petals lay.

The lifeless ruins of what once was great,
Now help the future seeds to recreate.
