hours kiss the patience boiling into fear
longing dwells in memory of last kiss
alone, hope put towards a single voice to hear
withdraw sandy grain through glass into bliss
stir mind a scene unknown of vial worry
taking cruel knife to scrape, to birthing scars
weaken time from the onset of the hurry
pity the desire yearned for turns and mars
what compels the puppeteers vexing thread
the gracious day glimmering yet to spoil
sweet false love yet the child's game employs dread
in affections chains to your heart I toil
said you first words but I shall speak the end
take what you aspire to falsely defend.

I'm writing a series of sonnets for a competition but I don't think I'll include this one I wasn't really in the right frame of mind when I was writing it.
