Phantom
The darkness of this room encases me.
The frozen air gives me chills; frostbite.
Raoul and my home I want to see,
But the air is cold, and I have no sight.
The monster calls my name and gives his hand.
His voice is beautiful, his face deformed.
An angel, hiding inside this wasteland.
His song so lovely, my soul is reborn.
Oh God! Why must this beauty be a beast?
His voice cries out to me, “Christine, Christine.”
His frightful face behind a mask at least.
But stay too long, and he’ll make me his queen.
 Maybe it’s possible with enlightening?
But, who could love a beast so frightening?
