Summer's Rain
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s rain?
The unforgotten smell relaxes me.
Examining out the window with fain
Ripple effects of a puddle I see.
Now running outside raindrops attack me.
Splashing in puddles not giving a care.
Sticking my tongue out? I surely will be.
Getting your hair wet only if you dare.
The fun is over time to go inside.
On the dinning table is waiting tea.
Toasty and cozy am I, filled with pride.
Another cup of hot tea is my plea.
Summer’s rain, please don’t ever go away.
I long to run outside again to play.
