A Sonnet
A blackened sky once light and full of life
Now changes to a symphony of war
The clouds sing fiery songs of rising strife
And shake the rocky ground with violent roars
Is there such bliss as thunder rolling by
And brilliant lights colliding with the ground
It softly murmurs through the night-like sky
Or screams and yells with such a mighty sound
But far away the lightening hits a house
And thunder frightens children everywhere
Perhaps this storm with all its ominous clouds
Is dangerous and can give quite a scare
Among the lawless tempest I'm at peace
And dream that somehow it will never cease
