The burning of stress
As the fireplace warms my line of sight
The crackling of the fire sends my ears ablaze with music
I look at the flames brilliant and bright
The comforting feeling in spite of a storm outside
The warmth on my skin makes me want to hum in delight
Just wanna close my eyes and forget about the storm
I don't wanna have to scream, feel awkward or cry
I wanna rest my eyes and fall asleep
I just want to smell the burning pine
The earthy scent fills my nose
My life is mine
I don't wanna try anymore just wanna close my eyes
and let my worries burn like pine
Stress was meant to burn
