Carraba's: are we in Italy? Or out hometown?
The other night, I decided to try out a different restaurant. Carrabas, I didn’t know how I would feel about it, it is very different from what I normally eat. Italian food, as good as it is, Carrabas makes it with an American twist. They have a very diverse menu, from calamari, to Mac N Cheese for the picky eaters.
The ambiance inside the restaurant was relaxing and romantic, with the simple, quiet, Italian music playing, the dimmed lighting with candles at each table, and the smell of the delicious food cooking in the back. Walking into that restaurant was like walking into a warm, fancy, festive atmosphere. Where you don’t have to be overdressed, but nicer would fit best.
The waiters were wonderful with their quick service and happy expressions. They make the experience better when you know your waiter is happy to be there. The food came out fresh and hot, like they just pulled it out of the oven. You weren’t waiting too long for your meal, but enough time to be able to have a good conversation with whoever you went with. I think the food and drinks were quite reasonably priced, the meals were decently sized and not super expensive. They use the freshest ingredients and it is obvious too. Everything is well put together and the presentation of the food was beautiful and neat.
I decided to try the chicken parmesan - which was delicious. It was two, thin breaded chicken breasts coated in breadcrumbs and baked with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce on top. I was barely able to eat all of it after they filled me up with a side salad and delicious, warm bread. The salad dressing was like nothing I’ve had before. It was a creamy parmesan dressing that made me get chills by the amazing taste.
I would highly recommend Carrabas as the place to go for family events like birthdays, get togethers, anniversaries, or even if you are just craving Italian food. The restaurant has this unique interior, with the elegant lighting and candles. To be festive for holidays and more. The food is fresh and leaves me with a full and satisfied stomach. Being able to have nice conversations with members of your family and not being rushed is another great quality of this restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant as a quick place to eat because the food can take a while to come out, but when it does, the waiters are right on it, food coming out fresh and warm. but if you’re looking for quality time out of the house, it is wonderful.
